Circle of Treachery~
Age Range: 6+
No teams – Circle of Treachery is every warrior for himself! Everyone gets in a circle. Someone shouts “Fight!” The last person standing wins. This is a great game to get you used to group games, because you always have to watch out for other opponents sneaking up behind you. Sneakiness is often the easiest way to beat your enemies.
The great thing about this game is that it builds “combat awareness.” It’s very easy – too easy – to get into the habit of just focusing on the enemy in front of you. With Circle of Treachery, if you do that, you’ll be stabbed in the back in seconds! You have to be aware of what’s going on all around you.
Variant:
You can make alliances with other people – but you can break alliances at any time, too, just by stabbing your ally in the back before he stabs you. After all, treachery is the name of the game.
Tactical Ideas:
A lot of people like to hang back, on the sidelines, and wait for their enemies to kill each other. This can work but it’s not a lot of fun! Often allying with a friend is helpful, if you play the Variant game – that way you can watch each other’s backs.
